Dick Gregory to make Plainfield visit Saturday

Legendary comedian Dick Gregory will spend this Saturday evening in Plainfield. Gregory, also an author and activist, is speaking at a Black History Month celebration hosted by the Plainfield Housing Authority in corroboration with the Plainfield Board of Education. The event will take place from 3 – 7 pm in the Plainfield High School Auditorium.

Former commissioners Barbara Johnson and Joanne Hollis (posthumously) will be honored after performances by the M. A. Taylor Dance Ensemble, Roland Washington, & One Step beyond.

Tickets are $20 at the door, but can be purchased in advance for as little as $12 at http://www.pcdc-nj.com. Those interested in buying in person can do so at the Housing Authority offices or Ruth Fellowship Ministries. More information is on the flyer below.
