Legendary comedian Dick Gregory will spend this Saturday evening in Plainfield. Gregory, also an author and activist, is speaking at a Black History Month celebration hosted by the Plainfield Housing Authority in corroboration with the Plainfield Board of Education. The event will take place from 3 – 7 pm in the Plainfield High School Auditorium.
Former commissioners Barbara Johnson and Joanne Hollis (posthumously) will be honored after performances by the M. A. Taylor Dance Ensemble, Roland Washington, & One Step beyond.
