In the mid-90s, then-Officer Kenneth Reid of the Plainfield Police Department was invited onto the Sally Jesse Raphael Show for reasons unknown. Reid was surprised to find Plainfield resident Karen Plummer and her young son Chase on hand to thank him. In July of 1994, Officer Reid had administered a special form of CPR to save 19 month old Chase’s life when he nearly drowned in the family’s pool. Chase Plummer is now 22 years old.
