After experimenting with supplemental auditorium lighting during the first Board of Education business meeting of the year, earlier this month the BOE voted to move its monthly assembly to PHS cafeteria.

The move is effective for next week’s February 17th business meeting, and addresses concerns about lighting and proximity to the public, both of which were shared by the Board. Work and study meetings will continue to be held in the PHS conference room on the first Tuesday of each month. All meetings are held at 8pm.

The first cafeteria business meeting will be significant for another reason, as the National Champion Lady Cardinals and the Lady Vikings will be honored.

The cheerleaders, who haven’t benefitted from the publicity they’d like following significant accomplishments, had snow cancel their scheduled January 24th parade and its make-up day. I’ll keep you posted on the celebratory march, which has been moved to the spring.
