At this year’s 5k Walk/Run, I ran into a special group of young people from Plainfield who were raising money for a trip. As I noted here, The Plainfield Lady Cardinals, fresh off winning the championship of the North Jersey Pop Warner league, were asked to attend the national championship at Disney World in Orlando Florida. Merely attending would have been an honor – but it was a hurdle, financially.

Not only did the team attend, but they won!

Information is forthcoming, but the Plainfield Lady Cardinals were crowned Junior PeeWee Cheer National Champs.
